Presentation of the Adaptive Project Management Technology

This Seminar provides the guiding idea to design and manage adaptive projects. The Unicist Project Management (UPM) was designed to manage adaptive projects in which the dynamic interaction with the environment requires managing feedbacks that change a project significantly.

This is the case, among others, of business processes, commercial processes, research processes and organizational processes.

These projects need to behave simultaneously as systemic projects, producing what depends on them, and as adaptive processes, in order to interact with the environment.

The unicist architecture of adaptive project management can be defined by the use of a business objects based execution that is driven by a solution approach.

The development of adaptive project planning includes the use of plans A, B, C and D to manage the adaptive project.

Adaptive Planning to Manage Adaptive Projects

Plan A

Plan A is the basic plan that follows the ontogenetic map of the solution of a project. It is the most participative project planning and management because it is based on the influence the manager exerts on the project.

Plan B

Plan B is a superior plan that includes plan A plus an entropy inhibiting object for the resistance. It is based on inhibiting the entropy by using expertise driven objects and the management of the peopleware of the project.

Plan C

Plan C is a superior plan that includes plan B plus a catalyzing object to accelerate the change. It is based on the use of a technology that allows establishing a superior, although less participative solution for the project.

Plan D

Plan D is a plan to abort the project if the possibilities of success are not given. It includes the development of a succedaneous solution.

The Business

Unicist Confederation’s members install spin-offs of business object driven solutions for the adaptive aspects of start-up, medium and large companies.

The professionals who participate need to have the necessary technical-analytical and fundamental knowledge in order to deal with the adaptive aspects of businesses. Naturally, there are four types of professional attitudes: fundamentals driven, diagnostics driven, objects driven and results driven.

The market expansion is organized based on corporate and professional spin-offs. Corporate spin-offs are business units that are installed in companies to provide solutions for their markets and activities. The business units might be insourced or outsourced.

This seminar gives access to the guiding idea of the Unicist Object Driven Marketing approach. The object driven marketing technology has been developed to include the use of objects in the buying process in order to ensure the critical mass of the processes. These objects produce basically three noticeable effects:

They allow having the necessary critical mass to trigger the buying process.
They accelerate the marketing process shortening the time between the marketing stimuli and the buying action.
Saving energy in the marketing process which makes it more efficient.

The object driven marketing process depends on the product or service, the market segments, and the lifestyle of the environment. The core of marketing actions is that they have the necessary critical mass to trigger a buying action.

Object driven marketing works basically using three types of business objects:

Drivers, to guide the business process and ensure the existence of critical mass.
Entropy inhibitors, to sustain the focus during the buying process and the fidelity of the buyers.
Catalysts, to accelerate the buying process.

This technology manages the algorithms of the buying process that corresponds to the category of product/service and includes the business objects in the process in order to ensure the results.

Conceptual planning is a self-evident activity when using the Unicist Standard. Its goal is to integrate the long term planning with the concept of today’s actions.

Next week we will be presenting the conceptual planning model that has been used for more than 25 years.

The conceptual planning model is a taxonomy driven model that allows managing the integration of the life-cycles of any business activity with the country scenarios and the technological trends.

The unicist standard in conceptual planning integrates the concepts of what is being done today with the evolution of these concepts in the short, middle and long run.

It is a tool that will be provided to manage growth programs of companies. There is also a homologous tool for the planning of countries’ evolution.

We are launching, allied with associate outsourcing companies, the Org-Lab to upgrade outsourcing processes of large companies.

The Unicist Standard in Outsourcing implies integrating Object Driven Organization, which is analogous to object oriented programming, with the specific characteristics of the processes involved.

The Unicist Standard for Country Future Research provides the necessary information to deal with the fundamentals of countries evolution.

The future does not exist. To influence the future it is necessary:

1) to discover the concepts of reality in the “past”;
2) to consider the facts of the “present”;
3) to infer the possible and probable “future”.

To develop future scenarios, we strongly recommend using both the Unicist Fundamentals technology and the Technical Analytical tools.

After you have developed the two future scenarios of a country, a region or the world following the Unicist Standard approach and the Technical Analytical approach, you will have to ensure that their results are consistent. They cannot be contradictory. If they are, you have to revise your analysis, until they become compatible.
