Image is the natural catalyst for marketing actions. As a catalyst there is no possibility to be neutral. The image of a company either catalyzes commercial actions or inhibits them. Therefore, image building is a core aspect for business growth, to ensure image working as a catalyst and not as an inhibitor.

When image works as a catalyst it produces the “inclined plane” effect for the business.

Companies need to rebuild their image if they want to grow beyond the existing boundaries of their market segments.

To rebuild the image of a company it is needed to create additional credibility which means being able to make others perceive that it can “make things possible” that were not possible before and then it becomes necessary to prove that this is true.

“Believe to see, or see to believe?” has a true and a fallacious response. The fallacious response is that some people say they need to see to believe. The true response is that first you have to believe in the possibility of something existing before you are able to see it.

If you belong to the segments of the skeptics you cannot accept this. If you believe it and now want to prove it, just experience it.

Beware of business stagnations or downgrades

In stagnated or involving business the organization is driven by its strengths considering the implicit weaknesses as a limit for their actions.

This is functional to businesses working in markets that are stagnated. But a business that works within the limits of their weaknesses enters automatically in an involution cycle if the market evolves.

Involving businesses use to compensate their weaknesses with a dominant role. Stagnated businesses fight against involution exerting power to convince the market and the internal organization that they are following or leading a trend.

Peter Belohlavek’s lecture on Institutionalization

The lecture on institutionalization will be opening a new way to think and design businesses based on their nature using the unicist standard.

We are sure that institutionalization is the new model that will rule the macro and micro economy in the next decades. In the Research on Institutionalization three ways of economic institutionalization have been found:

1) Economic institutionalization as an entropy inhibitor
2) Economic institutionalization as a catalyst
3) Economic institutionalization as a system to control the economy or activity

The crisis 2008 gave an opportunity to use institutionalization as a catalyst for growth. Now it became clear that institutionalization works both as a catalyst and as an entropy inhibitor.

In the private area the first use of institutionalization as a tool to produce or catalyze growth took place in 1981 using a Corporate University activity to introduce transcendent goals in a financial business. It was extremely successful both in terms of measured qualitative and quantitative results.

The first use of institutionalization in the public sector was the development of a political strategy and its implementation in 1987. It was also the final test of the application of the unicist theory of social evolution.

Discovery of the unicist ontology and taxonomy of change resistance

All individuals need to operate with preconcepts. Preconcepts are accepted truths to approach reality that allow an automatic response.

While preconcepts are functional to solve the problems of reality, individuals appear to assume the responsibility of making things happen.

Resistance to change can be produced by the change itself or by the intrinsic needs of individuals.

Change resistance passes through three stages in order to avoid a change:

1) Dominant influence to avoid change – Stage 2 starts if stage 1 fails
2) Manipulative influence to avoid change – Stage 3 starts if stage 2 fails
3) Destruction and self-destruction to avoid change

The process is recurrent. This means that, although it begins with stage 1 and continues with stages 2 and 3, it might restart again until the individual who is destroying the change finds a way to adapt to it, to destroy it or is excluded.

Individuals who cannot assume the responsibility of a change need to be excluded during the change transition. They might return after the change has been implemented.

But this exclusion must occur before the individual starts with the manipulation process. Afterwards it is too late because the exclusion hurts her/his self-esteem and makes her/his recovery impossible.
