The characteristics of adaptive systems are objective. There is no room for subjectivity.

Dealing with adaptive systems implies accepting that they are complex.

Responsibility for results must be assumed in order to deal with adaptive systems.

This appears to be a paradox because dealing with adaptive systems implies that individuals cannot change adaptive systems, just influence them, but at the same time they have to assume the responsibility for results.

This requires having a previous reliable knowledge of the adaptive system and its functionality.

Therefore the first step when approaching an adaptive complex system is making an accurate diagnosis in order to know if one can assume the responsibility for producing results.

For example, when dealing with counseling, it is necessary to diagnose the counterpart in order to know if one can manage the counseling process.

Adaptive Systems are in permanent movement. Therefore, an ontological approach is needed in order to make their structure perceivable as a stable object.

This ontological approach requires individuals that have assumed the responsibility of producing an “adapted” result.

Human complexes avoid the possibilities of adapting to an environment. They create a parallel reality that hinders dealing with adaptive systems.

Complexes are extreme stagnated childish behaviors of individuals to avoid interacting with the environment as an adaptive system in order to obtain pseudo-benefits to grow.

Complexes’ objective is to avoid the adaptation process of individuals generating a parallel reality creating a comfort zone to live in.

What is the Unicist Standard?

The Unicist Standard defines the ontology of an adaptive system, its taxonomy and the conceptual plan that has to be used to manage it.

The Unicist Standard (US) provides taxonomic methods to approach human adaptive systems integrating the fundamental and technical analytical approach.

The final objective of the US is to develop objects that are necessary to drive and catalyze processes.

The US in a specific field is sustained by the Unicist Standard Language that allows dealing with fundamentals and the ambiguity of human adaptive systems.

What are Adaptive Systems?

Adaptive systems are systems that have open boundaries to interact with the external and internal environment.

The difference between adaptive systems and systemic systems is that the first ones are driven by taxonomic procedures.

Taxonomic procedures are those that are ruled by an ontological logic that has to be followed in order to achieve the planned results. Nature is an adaptive system.

Businesses are typical adaptive systems. They are entities that interact with the environment having the characteristics of a complex system but with an implicit and explicit duty to produce a predefined result.

We use the word “business” as a synonym of “work”. Healthcare is a paradigmatic case of dealing with adaptive systems.

What are Business Objects?

Business Objects are autonomous productive entities that generate added value within the limits of their concept having a quality assurance system and a methodology to sustain alternative solutions.
