The Unicist Research Institute

The organization was born in June 1976, as an unincorporated association founded by Peter Belohlavek. The name taken at the time was the Unicist Group, which was integrated with M&T - Management and Technology Consulting Group- and afterwards with the Adam Smith Open University (ASOU). Since 2011, it has been constituted as The Unicist Research Institute. It is focused on the research of evolution, complexity sciences and their application to social, institutional and individual behavior.

The Unicist Research Institute is a global decentralized research boutique that has a business arm, an academic arm and the Unicist School with more than 100,000 followers in 56 countries.

The group is led by The Unicist Research Institute (TURI) and integrated by:

-The Unicist Confederation – That provides unicist cognitive systems with unicist artificial intelligence for businesses worldwide.

-The Unicist Corporate University – That provides unicist business technologies to individuals in companies using a reflection driven educational model.

-The Unicist School – That fosters the use of the unicist evolutionary approach worldwide.

The unicist evolutionary approach introduced a paradigm shift based on a pragmatic, structuralist and functionalist framework that allowed a scientific approach to complex adaptive systems. In the social field, TURI's Future Research Laboratory completed the research of the archetypes of 70 countries.

Some of the milestones of the research are: Unicist Strategy (1984), the Dynamics of Social Evolution (1986), Ontogenesis of Evolution (1988), Structure of Complexity Science (1998), The Roots of Human Intelligence (2004), the Unicist Ontology of Evolution and Involution (2006), Evolutionary Economics (2014), Unicist Cognitive Systems (2017), Unicist Artificial Intelligence (1986-2018).

The R&D process of artificial intelligence began in 1986 and was completed in 2018 with the development of the Unicist Artificial Intelligence modules to manage fundamentals-based AI and data-based AI. This allows managing the complexity of adaptive systems using hard data and the knowledge of fundamentals.
