Unicist Abductive Reasoning Program
We invite you to share this program with your friends
Welcome to this new stage. Neither science nor philosophy has ever explored the “why” of things. Abductive reasoning unveils the “why” and enables the development of the binary actions to make things work. It is the natural approach of doers and creators.
Video games are the most effective way to develop abductive reasoning by deconstructing them into their functionalist principles and the binary actions that define their functionality, and then designing your own.
The objective of the program is to develop your capacity to manage abductive reasoning and design the conceptual structure of a video game that will give you an approach to deal with the causality of problems of any kind.

The Moment Has Come
Unicist abductive reasoning introduces an approach that cannot be surpassed by AI. It makes AI work for you. This program is an example. It is managed by the Unicist Abductive Reasoning Lab, which provides the information, technologies, and benchmarks to address abduction. It uses Unicist-DD AI to manage causality, integrated with Generative AI to support your actions. The solutions, however, are yours.
The Breakthrough
Neither science nor philosophy has ever addressed the “why” of things; they have only dealt with their operationality and meanings.
The unicist abduction process, developed by Peter Belohlavek at The Unicist Research Institute, addresses the “why” of things and has been applied worldwide for decades. It is a logically structured approach that goes beyond the non-structured, intuitive, wisdom-based method of Charles S. Peirce, which was often misinterpreted as “educated guessing.”
The Program
The program begins by addressing a video game and applying the conclusions to a second one. The first should be a game you consider first-class to unveil the structure of its functionality, and the second should be one you dislike, using the abductive logical reasoning process you became aware of when dealing with the first-class game. Based on the output of these two experiences, you will be able address the conceptual design of a video game, using the support of the UCC. It will open a new space, that integrates the know-how with the know-why, for you.
The Procedure
Address the Functionality of a Video Game
Abduction, which manages the why, what, how, and what for of things, is a functionalist approach to video games that simplifies their design and ensures their success.
It focuses on the root causes that define functionality and addresses why things work before determining how they operate.
The abductive approach to the causality of growth is used by defining the unified field of the video game, discovering the principles that define its functionality, defining the binary actions that make them work, and developing destructive tests to confirm the validity of the solution.
Step 1: Begin by Describing the Video Game
A short description of all aspects of the game, including:
- Core mechanics: The basic actions a player can perform (jumping, shooting, building, trading, etc.)
- Rules & objectives: How you win, lose, or progress
- Interaction patterns: How players engage with the environment, NPCs (non-player characters), or other players
- Challenge structure: Difficulty, pacing, and the balance between skill and reward
Step 2: Discovering the Unified Field
The unified field of the video game is managed to ensure results by addressing its functionality. This involves defining the functionalist principles that drive it.
Guideline
- Describe the different functions involved in the game by defining the challenges that need to be addressed. Request support from the UCC.
- Provide a natural language description of how the functions interrelate.
- Record both your descriptions and the second opinion in one of the Lab’s working papers, and define the unified field of the functions to be approached.
Step 3: Discovering the Functionalist Principles
The video game is structured by a functionalist principle, composed of a purpose, an active function, and an energy conservation function that underlies the game.
Guideline
- Provide the information on the unified field to request the opinion of the UCC on the functionalist principle of the game.
- Based on the information from the UCR, evaluate the functionalist principle of the game using the whiteboard. Invest your time in trying to refute the hypotheses that arise until the output sounds self-evident.
- Register the functionalist principle in the working papers.
Step 4: Discovering the Binary Actions
The functionalist principle operates through two synchronized actions: the first generates a result or reaction, and the second complements this reaction, ensuring that final results are achieved without triggering undesired side effects. The gameplay mechanics are the materialization of these binary actions.
Guideline
- Discover the binary action (UBAa) of the game, which responds to the functional demands of the purpose of the functionalist principle, integrated with the active function.
- Describe the natural reaction the binary action (UBAa) produces in the mind of the gamer.
- Discover the binary action (UBAb), which addresses the reaction and ensures the generation of the results.
Recycle the process until you are confident that your conclusions explain the functionality of the game.
Step 5: Developing Destructive Tests
These tests imply expanding the use of the conclusions to a second game that belongs to the same segment. Sharing with friends is also a valid destructive test.
Step 6: Conclusion - Describe and Share
Games are archetypal adaptive systems. Describe the functionality of the game on the platform and compare it with its initial description to validate the benefit of using the unicist abductive approach to design and develop adaptive systems. We suggest that you share your development with friends by giving them access to your findings.
Step 7: Design you own game
If you have a basic idea of how to address the unified field, functionalist principles, binary actions, and destructive testing of a video game, we invite you to design your own version. The UCC can support you. If not, we suggest analyzing another game before starting this design.
Welcome to this new stage in the world!

| Unicist ontological research and the use of unicist ontological reverse engineering enabled the development of the functionalist approach to science, which manages the unified field of adaptive functions defined by their functionalist principles and makes them work through unicist binary actions, monitored by destructive tests. |
The discovery of the triadic functionality of conscious intelligence constitutes a breakthrough in behavioral science and in fields that involve influencing people, such as marketing, education, and politics, while also simplifying personal development, talent development, strategy building, and the organization of processes. |
The knowledge of countries or specific scenarios defines what is possible to achieve in a given environment. Scenario building is the intelligence process required to define the context for strategy building, whether in public strategies as part of governmental actions or in private social, economic, political, or business strategies. |
Unicist-DD AI-driven Labs provide functionalist technologies as a service, without requiring upfront investments. They are designed for autonomous solution building and are easy to use, requiring no external consulting or specialized technical knowledge. Stakeholders need only solid operational experience in the relevant field. |
