Unicist Research Residencies are applicative research programs in the field of human adaptive systems to develop innovative solutions. They deal with the nature of complex systems, developing objects to be installed in processes.

Researches are developed using the Unicist Research Residencies as the way to transfer the technologies included in the Unicist Standard and monitor the research to achieve the planned objectives.

The program is developed following three levels of complexity.

The technology, methodology and quality assurance of the researches is provided by The Unicist Research Institute.

The Program is based on:

1) Individual agreements
The counselor proposes a technology transfer and research agreement based on the participant’s background, knowledge, interests and objectives. Such agreement with the participant includes the definition of the research output.

2) Unicist object driven technologies
The participant receives access to the Unicist object driven technologies included in the Unicist Standard that are necessary to achieve his/her objectives.

3) Applicative research project

The program is based on the development of a research which necessarily ends with the design of a specific object. Counselors are responsible for the fallacy-shooting of the research process and the quality assurance process to ensure results.

4) Counseling driven learning
The unicist object driven technology is provided to the participants. Counselors are responsible for backing the foundation building process of the research developed by the participants.
There is regular live counseling and off-line counseling to support participants’ activities.

5) Group work – Extreme Design Technology
Participants need to exchange experiences with colleagues. The exchange of experiences leverages the reflection process and improves the quality of the original solutions developed by participants.

Unicist Research Residencies

• Individual programs
• Participation in the Research Project
• Access to 12 elective modules on the Unicist Standard
• Use of the Unicist Complexity Research Technology for Adaptive Systems
• Weekly live counseling & monitoring
• Permanent off-line counseling
• Beginning: agreed with the counselor
• Duration: 9 months

6) Complementary tools
The program includes the use of complementary tools for objects building. Among others, the following tools are accessible from their original developers:
1) C-map – concept mapping for strategy building
2) Protegé – for conceptual IT design
3) Taverna – for conceptual design in the field of life-sciences
4) Hozo – for conceptual engineering

7) Blue Eagle X-pert System (BEES)
The BEES processes the objective monitoring of the diagnoses made by participants. It is used by the counselors to provide a quality assured guidance.
The BEES develops diagnoses based on ontological/logical inferences based on the rules established by the unicist ontology of evolution.

Cost
Cost of the Unicist Research Residencies: USD 27,000 + taxes

Admissions
The participants of the program have to be graduates and have to have confirmed experience in the field where the research is taking place. As complexity research is developed in a real working environment, they have to be responsible for the solutions that will be researched.
