Brief History

The beginning

The history of The Unicist Research Institute (TURI) is driven by the research works, the academic activities and the solutions to complex problems that were developed.

Its first activities began in 1976, in the field of globalization and future research problems, led by Peter Belohlavek. The systemic research approach was dysfunctional to solve these problems because they were intrinsically complex. This difficulty was the trigger to develop the unicist approach to complexity which sustains TURI as a world leader in the research in complexity sciences in the field of social, institutional and individual evolution.

Why enter in complexity sciences?

TURI’s research in complexity sciences began in the field of social sciences and ended in the field of physics.

This required the development of the field of social evolution, institutional strategies and evolution, individual intelligence and strategies and life-sciences evolution ending with the integration of the Unicist Mechanics with the Quantum Mechanics.

Complexity sciences, unlike systemic sciences, cannot be researched making artificial experiments. They must be researched within real processes producing real results where observers are part of the “system”.

Research and Action: two sides of the same coin

The fact that in complexity sciences artificial experiments are not possible and in a real process the observer is part of system under research defines the history of TURI, in which every activity in the market had two characteristics:

a) It was a problem to be solved
b) It was a research field to discover the underlying ontological structures

The origin of the use of the ontological approach to define the objects of reality

The nature of reality cannot be invented, it must be discovered. Therefore, dealing with the nature of reality required the development of two approaches:

a) The development of a complexity research methodology
b) The development of a functional reflection approach to be able to apprehend the nature of reality that is beyond the boundaries of a rational and psychological approach.

The use of an ontological approach didn’t imply a philosophical approach to reality. The unicist ontological approach is compatible with all the existing philosophies but is not philosophic. It belongs to the field of complexity sciences.

The discoveries of the ontologies of different “objects” of reality were made step by step. Everything began at a functional level, which is observable, ending at an essential level that can only be contrasted with forecasts of real results.

How was the ontogenetic intelligence of nature approached?

The discovery of the ontogenetic intelligence of nature was made in 1983. But the first perception of this discovery was that it represented a model of social evolution.

It demanded several years to recognize that what had been discovered was the axiom of the evolution of living beings that regulated the evolution of any “unified field” in nature.

This discovery was only later on recognized as the ontogenetic intelligence of nature.

The applicative research began based on real applications in reality making “things happen”.

Objects in the unicist approach

All the efforts were focused on producing results in reality, discovering the ontology of each unified field, and developing objects in order to influence complexity.

The integration with elements of the chaos theory was a natural path. “Strange attractors” were just an expression of the ontogenetic intelligence of nature.

More than 3,000 research works

The history includes more than 3,000 researches finished until December, 2009. This implied the application in reality including a validation and falsification process to confirm their functionality.

It has to be considered that a typical ontological structure of a “unified field” demands between 3 to 5 years of research. Extremely complex problems, such as anti-concepts and fallacies demanded more than 17 years until they were reliable.

The Unicist Expert System

The unicist ontological approach was based on the unicist logic. This logic integrates all the preexisting logics. It allowed the development of an expert system that has been evolving during these years based on the inclusion of more abstract and more operational concepts.

Today version 9.0 of the Blue Eagle X-pert System allows the development of complete conceptual diagnoses and prognoses in the field of social, institutional and individual strategies.

This is the brief history of the unicist ontology based technologies and the unicist business objects that are provided worldwide.

The Unicist Standard

This Unicist Standard exists since 1995. It began being a Conceptual Design Standard and was completed with the development of the necessary objects to cover all its application fields. Now the Unicist Standard covers all the aspects that deal with diagnoses, strategies, business organization and future research.

Ongoing research

Today, every project is still a place to add value or provide objects to solve a complex problem and simultaneously a possibility to discover aspects of the nature of reality that might not have been discovered.
