EMR is a paradigmatic adaptive system that was usually approached as an administrative system.

EMR is a paradigmatic adaptive system that was usually approached as an administrative system, provoking the resistance of all those who wanted to use it to generate added value.
This situation transformed most of the EMRs into defensive systems.

Adaptive Systems need to be designed following the nature of evolution to produce results.

This implies that the first step to produce results requires dealing with the adaptive subsystem and then approaching the limits established by the administrative subsystem.
In this case, the system can evolve, produce the planned results and, if possible, improve them (1-2-3).

But when an adaptive system is approached starting with the energy conservation function (A-B), administration becomes an end in itself and the system degrades.

An EMR is only functional when the adaptive aspects prevail over the administrative function. This makes it proactive.
But it has to be considered that the integration of both is what ensures its functionality.

Adaptive systems are systems that have open boundaries to interact with the external and internal environment.

Adaptive systems are systems that have open boundaries to interact with the external and internal environment. The difference between adaptive systems and systemic systems is that the first ones are driven by taxonomic procedures.

Taxonomic procedures are those that are ruled by an ontological logic that has to be followed in order to achieve the planned results. Nature is an adaptive system.

We consider three levels of artificial adaptive systems:

1) Taxonomy driven systems
Taxonomy driven systems are those that depend on human action to work.

2) Robots
Robots are entities that can deal themselves with the feedback of the environment to achieve an objective.

3) Artificial life systems
Artificial life systems are those that have a collective unconscious that makes them influence the environment. Organizations and countries belong to this type.

Businesses are typical adaptive systems. They are entities that interact with the environment having the characteristics of a complex system but with an implicit and explicit duty to produce a predefined result. We use the word “business” as a synonym of “work”. Healthcare is a paradigmatic case of dealing with adaptive systems.

The use of the Unicist Standard Language is necessary to achieve the integration of medical practice and healthcare management.

The integration of information technology with the medical decision processes is basic to upgrade the healthcare management processes. This implies using the Unicist Standard to integrate the “minds” of physicians with the IT tools they use.

The use of the Unicist Standard Language is necessary to achieve the integration of medical practice and healthcare management.

“Dealing with Human Adaptive Systems necessarily is driven by complexity. Adaptive systems are complex in themselves but dealing with human adaptive systems adds a new complex component which is the ambiguity implicit in human behavior.

The existence of conscious and non-conscious aspects of human behavior produces naturally the existence of an ambiguous environment.

The purpose of adaptive system management is to influence human adaptive systems using the object driven technologies included in the Unicist Standard.

The development of the Unicist Standard Language was necessary to provide a context in order to understand, communicate and influence the management of human adaptive systems.”

Unicist Ontointelligence is the mechanism humans’ have to grasp the nature of reality making the adapting process possible.

The frontiers of intelligence have opened up. Intelligence, which in reality is measured by the adaptation to the environment, includes aspects that go from the totally conscious aspects, to totally innate aspects. Nowadays this is beyond discussion.

Genetic research is contributing increasing knowledge about the “mechanisms” of man that will be able to generate knowledge of man as a machine.

But the limits of knowledge continue to be the infinite possible combinations that generate a complex unified field, that in every-day life are transformed into very few behaviors, for which the body aligns all its complex apparatus.

The advances in the understanding of genetic intelligence and its mechanisms enable their integration linked to the rational, the emotional and the conceptual intelligences. Ontointelligence is the mechanism humans’ have to grasp the nature of reality making the before mentioned integration possible.

Genetic intelligence completes the picture that explains also man’s automatisms that until now have been seen as individual and social dysfunctional behaviors.

“Objects” technology is an upgrade in the World of research. It implies that one can establish which parts of the research and past research can be used again.

“Objects” technology is an upgrade in the World of research. It implies that one can establish which parts of the research and past research can be used again.

Research has a goal of discovering causal relationships at some time, but above all it seeks to build sound knowledge that can be accepted and used by all.

The organization of research projects by objects enables – departing and “arriving” at sound knowledge – a significant reduction in the cost of the projects, as well as a higher fulfillment rate of the plans made.

The first thing we should do is define what an object is from a conceptual point of view. An object is an entity that has an implied, extrinsic concept that adds value to a process and with quality assurance interwoven with the object itself.

This definition is ambiguous and complex to understand without an example to explain it.

We can state that a research protocol is an object whose concept is defined by that which is to be researched, to the extent that the steps and instructions listed in the protocol enable the posed hypotheses to be confirmed or rejected. We can state then that the “protocol” object has added value.

Finally, the implementation of the research protocol, that is, carry out the clinical research from an operational/experimental point of view, is that which confirms or rejects the hypotheses originally posed. Every correctly designed protocol meets these criteria.

But symptoms and signs diagnostics is many times confused with the diagnosis of the real problem underlying them.

In the organization field, there are also different levels of diagnoses, according to their complexity level and scope.

In a more superficial level there are both descriptions of the “symptoms” of a problem, which are relatively easy to “see”, and there are descriptions of “signs” that require an objective approach. In a much deeper level, unicist diagnostics works on what underlies those symptoms and signs, focused on the solution of complex problems based on their nature.

Although the use of objects is self-evident in medical practice, a drug is an object, this way to organize needs to be fostered in Healthcare Management.

Medical practice is driven by objects, Healthcare IT is mostly driven by objects, it is now time to introduce objects in the Healthcare Management field.

EHR and EMR are the adequate processes to introduce “Green Thinking” to optimize the processes.

The notorious capacity of Procter & Gamble is given by the way it manages the social insertion of innovations.

The notorious capacity of Procter & Gamble is given by the way it manages the social insertion of innovations.

We recommend watching the following two short presentations of Procter & Gamble at:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycMXZDybhlw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x93YopVXJSM

Innovation is the basis for economic growth. Essentially, countries, cultures, institutions, and individuals grow only in the fields where they are open to innovations.

The purpose of innovation is to overcome scarcity. That is why only people or cultures that have the will, find the way to overcome scarcity. This is the cultural context that fosters innovation.

The driver of innovation is human creation. The word creation is used in the sense of recreation. Humans create based on the existing energy.

The maximal strategy of innovations drives towards the solution of a scarcity. Therefore innovative organizations have the perception that they add value to the environment. But this is only true if the minimum strategy is also fulfilled.

The minimum strategy implies inserting the innovations into the social capital of the environment. Social capital is defined by the strength of the bonds that integrate the members of a community.

Commercial innovations need to be only one step ahead of the habits of the environment. If they are more than one step ahead they fail, unless there is an extreme need and they are, implicitly, a “back to basics”.

In this field Procter & Gamble is a notorious benchmark.

The archetype of China is a unique case of a culture that has the capacity to grow based on the internal consistency of its model.

The archetype of China is a unique case of a culture that has the capacity to grow based on the internal consistency of its model, a model that became complementary to the globalization process.

We strongly recommend watching the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mRlgQKWlnQ

China’s Structure

China is a culture based on the consistency of the social and individual efforts and the capacity of accepting trade-offs to achieve the goals of the country.

The Chinese model has to be understood in itself without comparing it with other countries. It has multiple economic models working simultaneously. It is neither a communist nor a capitalist model. It uses multiple unique solutions which imply permanent trade-offs between the different models to achieve its growth.

The Communist Party can be considered as homologous to the ancient nobility in Europe but representing the interests of China as a country and the needs of its population.

Entering the Communist Party needs to be earned because within the party there has to be an ideological consistency to allow a democratic behavior. The Communist Party is the “Establishment” of China.

Confucius’ Concept

Confucianism is a functional philosophy for a culture that needs to grow in a context of an extremely large country with a large population. Order is necessary to sustain consistency.

Minorities in China have to behave within the limits of the explicit and implicit Chinese model. Censorship and self-censorship are a need to avoid that the culture loses its consistency. But although censorship becomes necessary in this context, it is also the implicit weakness of the Chinese archetype.

Cultures evolve based on their implicit weaknesses. Therefore, a generational change can be expected in this field depending on the new trade-offs the culture will make.

A Shielded Culture

China has been, is and will be a shielded archetype, protecting its culture and beliefs in order to ensure its consistency and allowing making the necessary trade-offs to grow.

This shield was represented by the Chinese Wall in the past, and now it is represented by the multiple regulations that establish the framework of the country.

Maximal Strategy

The maximal strategy of China is driven by the working capacity of the culture and the catalyst for the minimum strategy is their cultural shield that ensures the consistency of its actions. The cultural shield works as a protection from foreign influence and internal distortions.

Minimum Strategy

The minimum strategy is driven by the individual working capacity of its population. The entropy inhibitor, to ensure the achievement of growth, is the ideological shield that ensures the focus of the efforts on the objectives that are being achieved.

The personal capacity of making trade-offs is installed in the population and makes individuals extremely focused achievers.

To apprehend the Chinese archetype it is necessary to understand Doers, avoiding ideological, religious or social comparisons. China was, is and will be unique. China doesn’t base its expansion on exporting culture, but on exporting products.
