June 1976 was the beginning of the research of evolution in the field of complexity science. It was focused on approaching the nature of reality which required an ontological approach to the basic research and an object driven approach in the field of application.

The research drove to the discovery of the ontogenetic intelligence of nature, the unicist ontology, the unicist logic, the complexity science research methodology and the human ontointelligence.

This provided the basic knowledge to develop more than 3,500 applicative researches in the field of individual, institutional and social evolution that were finished until September 2010. The research work is still ongoing.

The immune system of an organization is defined by the structure of objects that are able to detect, isolate and destroy the external elements that attack the institution.

The immune system of an organization implies the existence of all the “objects” that are available in order to destroy the threat.

This is necessary in order to liberate the “negative” energy introduced by a “virus”. From an ontological point of view the institutional immune system can be shown in the following structure.

Action inhibiting objects are those whose function is the elimination of threats.

Entropy inhibiting objects are those whose function is to avoid a dysfunctional entropy of the active function.

Driving objects are those that impulse the action in an institution.

Catalyzing objects are those that accelerate the functionality of the whole or parts of the institution.

Gravitational objects are those that influence other objects in order to provide the necessary energy to function.

Unicist authority is based on the capacity to develop a reliable organization to make things happen.

The organization process requires knowing the responsibilities individuals can assume in order to design the tasks that are delegated to them.

Unicist authority is based on the delegation of tasks and the reversion of the responsibility involved. The Unicist Standard defines that when individuals cannot assume the responsibility for their activity, the one who substitutes their function is their leader.

This implies that while tasks are forwarded, responsibilities are shared. And in this sharing both the individual who has to develop an activity and the one who delegated the task are involved, assuming each part 100% the responsibility of achieving the result.

This makes leaders fully responsible for developing adequate work-process designs to ensure that things happen.

The reversion of responsibility is in fact a back to basics in leadership but, in the real world, it is an upgrade to ensure the production of results.

That is why the first step defined by the Unicist Standard is the design of the work processes ensuring that the maximal strategies, which are driven by a high level of responsibility to approach reality, are adequately organized.

The minimum strategies of an activity are task and efficiency driven and only require following predefined methods to be fulfilled.

Medical practice naturally includes a curing activity, which includes both curative and palliative aspects and a preventive action in order to provide wellbeing.

The most difficult aspect in healthcare practice is to be able to integrate these three aspects in a realistic way and not considering only what should be done.

The signs and symptoms of a patient are observable. Dealing with them only requires having the knowledge of their meaning.

The aspects that deal with prevention are less observable because they vary from culture to culture and from patient to patient.

But the most difficult aspect to deal with is the understanding of the wellbeing of a patient which can only be intuited.

The preceding facts explain why healthcare is strongly focused on curing.

Medical Practice Viruses

When physicians do not assume the responsibility for wellbeing they install a business virus type “A” into their practice. The consequence is that they will be focused on diseases.

When physicians do not consider prevention they install a business virus type “B” into their practice. The consequence is that they will be focused on an “invasive” approach to patients.

The integration of information technology with the medical decision processes is basic to upgrade the healthcare management processes. This implies using the Unicist Standard to integrate the “minds” of physicians with the IT tools they use.

The frontiers of intelligence have opened up. Intelligence, which in reality is measured by the adaptation to the environment, includes aspects that go from the totally conscious aspects, to totally innate aspects. Nowadays this is beyond discussion.

Genetic research is contributing increasing knowledge about the “mechanisms” of man that will be able to generate knowledge of man as a machine.

But the limits of knowledge continue to be the infinite possible combinations that generate a complex unified field, that in every-day life are transformed into very few behaviors, for which the body aligns all its complex apparatus.

The advances in the understanding of genetic intelligence and its mechanisms enable their integration linked to the rational, the emotional and the conceptual intelligences. Ontointelligence is the mechanism humans’ have to grasp the nature of reality making the before mentioned integration possible.

Genetic intelligence completes the picture that explains also man’s automatisms that until now have been seen as individual and social dysfunctional behaviors.

“Objects” technology is an upgrade in the World of research. It implies that one can establish which parts of the research and past research can be used again.

Research has a goal of discovering causal relationships at some time, but above all it seeks to build sound knowledge that can be accepted and used by all.

The organization of research projects by objects enables – departing and “arriving” at sound knowledge – a significant reduction in the cost of the projects, as well as a higher fulfillment rate of the plans made.

The first thing we should do is define what an object is from a conceptual point of view. An object is an entity that has an implied, extrinsic concept that adds value to a process and with quality assurance interwoven with the object itself.

This definition is ambiguous and complex to understand without an example to explain it.

We can state that a research protocol is an object whose concept is defined by that which is to be researched, to the extent that the steps and instructions listed in the protocol enable the posed hypotheses to be confirmed or rejected. We can state then that the “protocol” object has added value.

Finally, the implementation of the research protocol, that is, carry out the clinical research from an operational/experimental point of view, is that which confirms or rejects the hypotheses originally posed. Every correctly designed protocol meets these criteria.
